The food is good but felt rushed.
Peaceful Japanese sushi spot that is mostly reservation-driven but staffed well with well constructed rolls for a reasonable price. $7 a sushi, 4/5 stars as a dinner spot.
It pains me to leave such a review, let alone it be my first one on here.
Although, I did enjoy my meal, my visit was far from pleasant. I'm unsure if it was just an off day or not, but the amount of service and attention during my visit was very lacking. Again, I won't fault the food because the food was great, it just didn't match the
experienced. I know it can get busy, but I can spot preferential treatment when I see it. Not only was service and attention lacking during my visit, but I was overcharged for food I didn't get! While being respectful and calling this out, I was denied a refund for the difference. I'm hesitant to returning to this place. I think I'll stick to going to Sushi by M.
This place does not deserve being chosen over the other 23,000 restaurants in this city. They don't deserve your time, nor do they deserve your money. Please spend it elsewhere. The service is horrible and there is nothing about the food that sets it apart from any other mid-tier sushi joints that cost half the price.
Staff was absolutely wonderful. I’m so glad I was able to get a last minute reservation! The food was so fresh and each piece that came out was so delicious. Loved their sake as well. A friend gave me the recommendation and I’ll definitely be recommending to my other friends. Some of the pieces I got were below. Can’t wait to go back.

This was an amazing under-$100 omakase experience! The chef and server were both super knowledgable and friendly, and answered all the questions we had about the food. Beautiful, high quality sushi pieces, with fresh and tasty fish imported from Japan and around the world. Will definitely be recommending to others for future NYC trips!
